Present-day you meets 10-years-ago you for coffee. Share with your younger self the most challenging thing, the most rewarding thing, and the most fun thing they have to look forward to.
You’re going to love travel, diversity and being lost in the unknown.
Things are going to get harder.
But there will also be lots of amazing times mixed in between.
You’re going to grow and change in all different ways; embrace it.
There will be days you just want to give up, I promise you, don’t. Because the things that come after will be worth all the pain.
You’ll find some of the best people in the world to help you along your journey – be thankful for them everyday.
People will come and people will go. And some people will come back.
You will go to some events that will be the best of your life.
You will lose people who are/were important in your current stage.
Life is challenging; life is rewarding; life is fun.
Everything you do, everything you go through, will all be worth it in the end because it teaches you the things you need to learn.
Fear not my young self, you will shine like a star and you will be loved in so many different ways.
Take each day as it comes and every decision you make will be the right one because it will land you where I am today, and for that I am immensely grateful.
I chose this photo because it was the closest that I found to this date (10 years ago): it was taken around early December 2004. I don’t normally post photos of other people as I like to keep others lives private and anonymous on my blog, but I thought in some way this photo is quite imperative to my 10 year reminiscing post.
