All About Me – Olivia in La La Land

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “All About Me.”

– Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.

Well first off, my name is Olivia (what a surprise right?!) anyhow, when I was a child my mind was always wandering off to distant places. I was always the dreamer, the wanderer, the thinker, the one who was lost in her imagination; so much so, that mum (in particular) would say I was off with the fairies in la la land…so when it came to thinking of a title for my blog, after many changes, I finally stuck with this one.

In a lot of ways I live in my own world. I live at my own pace and leisure and growth. I’ve never really been one to follow the crowd or do things in order to gain approval from anyone. If I like something…I do it, or I buy it, or I take a photo of it; and I don’t care if other people like it or not. It’s my life, not theirs, and I respect that people are different and have different tastes. You can get more of an explanation here.

Then came my blog. I write and post what I want to, what I need to, for me; not for anyone else. If people like it, then great! And if it changes people’s lives for the better, then that’s fantastic! But if people don’t like it, that’s OK by me too. I’m doing this for me. Not for you. But I do appreciate all those who stop by and have a poke around my mind and life.

So to those that haven’t been here before…take a look around if you please, see how my life is different (or similar) to that of yours πŸ™‚
