Daily Prompt: Do you hold grudges or do you believe in forgive and forget?
Mahatma Gandhi said: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong.”
I believe forgiveness is the key to your own peace and happiness. But that doesn’t mean you have to forget. Our experiences are what make us who we are, so we need to remember the people who hurt us and the things that have happened in order to understand who we are in the present moment. And to not let history repeat itself. We need to remember the past to learn and grow from it.
But there is no point holding grudges against those who aren’t worthy of your time. Make peace with your enemies and your past so you are enabled to move forward with a peaceful future.
